How our dentists share a case
Most clinics have more than one dentist. Here is how a case moves between ours, so you know who you will meet at each stage.
At Precious Dental, Dt. Hüseyin Yavuz Özbek plans and places implants, including full-arch All-on-6 cases, and carries out the prosthetic stage. Dt. Şeyda Yılmaz and Dt. Hüseyin Bayram lead veneer, crown and smile design cases. When a case needs both, the implant surgeon places the implants and the cosmetic dentist designs the visible teeth. Ask which of them will treat you, and get the names in writing.
When you choose a clinic, it is easy to assume one dentist will do everything. Sometimes that is true. Often, especially for bigger cases, the work is shared. There is nothing wrong with that, as long as you know who is doing what. This article explains how cases are shared at Precious Dental, as an example of the questions to ask any clinic.
This is how cases are usually divided at our clinic. Your own written plan names the dentists who will treat you.
Three dentists, two kinds of work
| Dentist | Main work |
|---|---|
| Dt. Hüseyin Yavuz Özbek | Implant surgery and prosthetics: single implants, All-on-6, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment |
| Dt. Şeyda Yılmaz | Aesthetic dentistry: digital smile design, zirconium and full-ceramic crowns, implant prosthetics, front-tooth composites |
| Dt. Hüseyin Bayram | Cosmetic and restorative: laminate and E-max veneers, bonding, smile makeovers, zirconium crowns |
A full-arch implant case
Say you have lost most of your upper teeth and wear a denture. You send an X-ray and photos. Dt. Hüseyin Yavuz Özbek looks at them and gives a first opinion. On your first day in Antalya he examines you, reviews the 3D scan and confirms how many implants you need, which brand and why, in writing. He does the extractions and implant surgery, and fits your fixed temporary teeth.
On your second trip, months later, he checks the implants and oversees the final teeth: the scan, the try-in and the fitting. Because he did the surgery, he knows exactly what he is building on.
A veneer case
Say you want to improve the look of your front teeth. You send smile photos. Dt. Yılmaz or Dt. Bayram reviews them and tells you whether veneers, bonding, whitening or a mix makes most sense. In Antalya, they design your smile, prepare the teeth as little as possible, and fit and adjust the veneers. The same dentist sees you through the week.
A mixed case
Some cases need both. For example, a missing front tooth plus discoloured teeth around it. Here, Dt. Hüseyin Yavuz Özbek places the implant and the cosmetic dentist plans how the new tooth and the veneers around it will match. They agree the plan together before you start, so the implant goes where the final tooth needs it to be.
You may meet two dentists in this case. You should be told in advance, with both names in your written plan.
What this means for you
- Ask who does each stage, at any clinic. If the answer is “our team”, ask for names.
- Check each dentist you will see. Registration, training and experience with that part of the work.
- Ask how they communicate. Do they plan your case together, or does one hand over to the other?
- Ask who you contact if something goes wrong after you are home.

The same questions for any clinic
This is how we work. Other clinics organise things differently: some have a specialist surgeon for implants and a prosthodontist for teeth, others have one dentist who does both. Both can work well. What does not work is not knowing. Before you book anywhere, ask the questions in this article and get the answers in writing.
How the dentists talk about your case
In a shared case, the dentists agree the plan before treatment starts. For an implant under a front tooth, that means deciding together where the final tooth needs to sit, so the implant can be placed to support it. For a full mouth with both implants and veneers, it means agreeing the order of treatment and the shade. You should not have to carry messages between them.
Who you message afterwards
After your trip, you message our coordinators on WhatsApp, +44 7575 589099, and they pass your photos and questions to the dentist who treated you. If two dentists were involved, the question goes to the one whose work it concerns. Ask at your last appointment who will look at your follow-up photos.
Why one clinic, not two
Some patients consider having implants at one clinic and crowns at another. It can work, but it splits responsibility: if something goes wrong, each may say it is the other’s problem. Having both stages done by dentists who work together, in one clinic, keeps responsibility clear and makes guarantees simpler.
What to ask any clinic about shared cases
- Which dentist is responsible for my treatment overall?
- Will the dentists plan my case together before starting?
- Who decides if the plan changes during treatment?
- Who covers the guarantee for each part?
Three example cases and who leads them
| Case | Usually led by | Others involved |
|---|---|---|
| Upper denture to fixed All-on-6 | Dt. Hüseyin Yavuz Özbek | Nurse, lab technician |
| Six upper veneers, healthy teeth | Dt. Şeyda Yılmaz or Dt. Hüseyin Bayram | Lab technician for shade and try-in |
| Missing front tooth plus discoloured neighbours | Implant: Dt. Özbek; visible teeth: a cosmetic dentist | Both plan together before surgery |
| Crowns on worn back teeth | Any of the three, depending on the rest of the plan | Lab technician |
This shows how cases are usually divided. Ask for your dentists to be named in your own plan.
Why splitting work can be a strength
A dentist who places implants every week and a dentist who designs smiles every week each bring depth to their part. The risk in splitting is poor communication, which is why the plan should be agreed jointly before treatment starts. When it works, you get the benefit of both: an implant placed where the final tooth needs it, and a final tooth designed with the implant’s position in mind.
When one dentist does everything
Dt. Özbek’s profile lists implant surgery, All-on-6 and crowns and bridges among his areas of work, so one dentist can take an implant case from surgery to final teeth. For most patients, that continuity is simplest. Ask whether he will do every stage of yours.
What to look for at any clinic
- Every dentist who will treat you is named before you book.
- You know which stage each one does.
- They plan together, not one after the other without talking.
- One dentist is clearly responsible for your follow-up.
- The guarantee covers the whole treatment, not just one person’s part.

Profiles and sources
Every fact about our dentists in this article comes from their profiles on dentprecious.com, linked from their pages here: Dt. Özbek, Dt. Yılmaz, Dt. Bayram.
What you will notice as a patient
When cases are shared well, you notice very little. The dentist you meet on the first day introduces any colleague who will be involved and explains why. Your plan names both. On the day, they already know your history and your preferences, because they have discussed your case. You do not have to repeat your story or pass on information yourself. If you ever find yourself doing that, say so; it is a sign that communication needs to improve.
Asking for one dentist
If you would prefer to be treated by one dentist from start to finish, tell us when you get in touch. For implant cases, ask whether Dt. Özbek can do both the surgery and the prosthetic stage for you. For mixed cases, we will explain what each dentist would do so you can decide. Read choosing a dentist you feel comfortable with.

Dt. Şeyda Yılmaz and Dt. Hüseyin Bayram, who focus on aesthetic dentistry, veneers and smile design.
Will I meet more than one dentist?
For a mixed case, possibly. You should know in advance who does each stage. Ask us.
Is it better to have one dentist do everything?
Not necessarily. What matters is that each stage is done by someone who does it often, and that they talk to each other about your case.
